The objective of this task is to confirm Operational Readiness Assessment (ORA) Criteria. Typically, internal criteria should have been agreed during the sales phase and Client criteria must be documented in the contract.

There may be multiple ORA meetings/streams:

  • With the Client
  • With the Service Delivery Team(s)
  • With incumbent(s) and other relevant service providers.

The WIP Lead must attend regular ORA meetings with the relevant stakeholders to review progress and update the RAG (Red Amber Green) status of Support WIP and tickets, including ownership and clearing / cleansing activities.

The WIP Lead must ensure participation in ORA meetings to gauge if the Service Delivery Teams are ready to take over the Support WIP and tickets.

The WIP Lead along with the Delivery Manager and  Engagement Manager (Transition) must participate in the operational readiness assessment and share the observations with all relevant stakeholders. The WIP Lead must attend the regular ORA meetings and record all the key observations and action items based on the assessment. The Service Engagement Risk Log and Service Engagement Issue Log must be updated for the latest status of Support WIP and Tickets including ownership. The RACI needs to be revisited if any change in responsibilities is agreed. Typically, all the important decisions made based on the observations from operational readiness assessment needs to be communicated to all stakeholders.

The output of this task ensures that the WIP (WIP) stream is “ready” for live cut over. It is recommended to obtain a formal sign-off on the completion of Opeartional Readiness Acceptance (ORA) from relevant stakeholders as per contract.
